The engineer who works on the floor
Not from a distance. I go to the branch, the kitchen, the warehouse and the finance desk, and I build for what I see there.
I am the IT Head of a multi-brand business group in Dubai: 35+ restaurants, 5+ building-materials companies and other businesses, more than 40 outlets in total. I handle their complete IT.
Over four and a half years I have built and rolled out the systems the group runs on every day: central ordering with WhatsApp, central menu management, stock taking, maintenance tracking, branch closing, CCTV and a central customer database.
I am the primary contact for all branches with Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Noon and Keeta, for the POS and ERP vendors, and for Etisalat and du. When something breaks at 11 pm in a branch, I am the one they call.
On the side I founded Fyko Menu, a restaurant software platform for the UAE.
